Bridges

A bridge is one of the traditional methods of replacing one or several missing teeth. It involves putting a false teeth (Bridge) that is fixed to 2 or more crowns on either side. In order for a bridge to be successful you would need to have strong teeth on both sides of the missing teeth and good bone support.

A bridge should take 2 appointments. The first appointment will require to prepare the teeth on either side of the gap. Impressions will be taken which will be sent off to our laboratory to build the bridge and crowns. Your second appointment will be 2 weeks later which will involve the fitting of the bridge and any small adjustments required to ensure a good fit.

Please discuss with your dentist if this is a suitable option. Bridges sometimes damage healthy adjacent teeth which can lead to root canal risk hence making this a less popular alternative these days.
